We are Orthodox

We believe that Scripture is inspired by God and authoritative in the life of a Christian (2 Tim 3:16). We affirm that the historic Christian creeds articulate the basic Christian doctrine, because they have been formulated and tested by the Word of God.

  • The Apostles' Creed articulates the main tenets of the Christian faith.

  • The Councils of Nicea (325 ad) and Chalcedon (451 ad) correctly explain the doctrines of the Trinity and Christ's two natures.

We are Reformed

We affirm the five 'solas' of the Reformation.

  • Scripture Alone: Scripture is the ultimate authority for life and holiness. It is the lens by which we view the world and know our creator (2 Tim 3:16).

  • Grace Alone: Salvation is God's unearned kindness towards sinners. Salvation has to do with everything in the heart of God and nothing in us (Eph 2:1-10).

  • Faith Alone: Salvation is not earned by human effort or good works but the righteousness of Christ received to be received by faith (Gal 2:16). We are saved by faith alone (Eph 2:8-9) but faith is never alone. Genuine faith is always demonstrated by the fruit of the spirit (Gal 5:22-23) and good works (James 2:20).

  • Christ Alone: There are no means of salvation apart from the righteous life, atoning death, and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12; Col 1:15-20).

  • Glory to God Alone: Since salvation is the work of God from beginning to end, He alone is worthy to receive all glory, honor, and praise (Eph 1:17-21).

We are Evangelical

We believe in the authority of scripture and the good news of the gospel demonstrated in the completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross (John 3:16). We are centered on the Word of God and the cross of Christ. We study, teach, sing, pray, and proclaim God's Word and we preach Christ crucified, risen, ascended to heaven, and one day coming again.

We are Baptist

We believe that the Bible teaches baptism as an ordinance of the Lord for those who have repented and have come to faith (Col. 2:12; 1 Pet. 3:21; Gal. 3:26-27). It signifies their union with Christ in his death and resurrection (Rom. 6:3-4). We believe that the mode of baptism prescribed in the Bible is by immersion (Acts 8:36-39; John 3:23; Rom. 6:34) and in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19). We believe that a church is made up of confessing believers who have been baptized as a sign of their union with Christ. We also affirm the autonomy of the local congregation under the Lordship of Christ.

We are Disciple-Making

We take Great Commission seriously.  Jesus calls his disciples to “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28: 18-20). Without compromising the Sovereignty of God, we affirm the responsibility of each person to repent and believe on Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. God does not desire that any should perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Therefore, we call all, without distinction, to drink freely of the Water of Life and live eternally in the presence of their Creator. This privilege and responsibility is not only applicable in our immediate context, but it extends to all the nations. Therefore, we make every effort to evangelize and support the work of the gospel at home and abroad.
